Educational Blog and Links

1. I looked at the site http://edte.ch/blog/ and found I liked the first section of it. The interview of
Luiz Lafayette Stockler was very interesting. I liked his videos as well. They were so simple yet held so much meaning. I thought that the rest of the site was a bit confusing. The was so much going on I am unsure of what it wanted me to get out of it.
2. http://mscofino.edublogs.org/2009/09/06/student-blogging-guidelines/  This is the second site I visited. I was shocked to hear that 4th graders were blogging. When I hear about students blogging, I always think of students who are at least in middle school, but to actually read that 4th graders are blogging was such a shock to me. I really like this site because the blog was interesting and educational. I liked how they came up with guidelines for the students to follow. It makes it more educational and shows responsibility on behalf of the staff.
3.  http://www.21stcenturyfluency.com/blog.cfm I liked the layout of  this site. It was easy for me to navigate and I can click on what blog to read. All the headline for the blogs were very interesting. I clicked on the "Japanese Lab Invents Internet Kissing" because it was just so interesting to me. It seemed kind of creepy to me that they were able to come up with a way for people to kiss over the net.  I also looked at the "Ultra-Think PaperPhone Bends to Users Will" article. It was a plastic smart phone that is as think at a laminate sheet of paper. This site made me realize how fast technology is moving and how far behind I am. It is almost impossible to keep up with all the new technology. I think this will be the blog that I will follow for the rest of this semester.

4.  www.assortedstuff.com This website was very basic. I liked how easy it was for me to understand his blogs. He had some very important points about the country's education system. I liked his article " Do We Have Enough Evidence Yet?" I agreed with him that standardize tests have done nothing to improve students scores, yet they put so much pressure on teachers to make sure their students pass.
5. http://eduoptimists.blogspot.com/ I did not like this blog because I felt that he could not understand what the blogger was saying. I do like his cartoons at the bottom of the page.
